Biescas to Barcelona

One of those days where you get to the end of it and can't believe you woke up somewhere entirely different that morning. Max had a great sleep and was still snoring away as we packed up the Airbnb. But when he woke up he was literally covered in red, sore looking bites. Probably mozzies. They don't seem to bother him but they look super itchy. Everyone in the car and gone by 9am. She fell asleep instantly, Max and I read his Spanish words book together and ate chocolate croissants in the back. She's become so intolerant of the car it's not possible to all drive together for long distances anymore (great timing and super helpful for our road trip, Mia-Rose...), so I caught the train with her from Lleida to Barcelona Sants. It took an hour - not overly child friendly (in facilities or attitudes) but she had a lovely time looking over the seats at everyone and having some snacks on my lap. When we arrived we walked to meet Paula and Simon, and then walked to get a snack - more delicious ham, cheese, and toasted bread. Lewis and Max arrived by car and we were all there to watch the successful manoeuvring into the super busy, tight car park. Check into our accomodation, settle in with our stuff, then Lewis and I took the baby on a paella and Gaudi hunt. Saw two of Gaudi's houses - La Pedrera Casa Mila and Casa Batllo - and it felt special walking around with her in the carrier, her eyes wide and head moving from left to right taking in all the noise and bustle. We got Max some ice cream bath toys which were a major hit. Devoured our seafood and meat rice, washed down with Rioja rosé and a good catch up, and crashed out.
